Professional Kennel Relief Management

For 6 years, I owned and ran a luxury boarding kennels which housed up to 32 dogs in Devon. This included all aspects of staff management and training, taking bookings, stock control, managing feeding regimes and monitoring health and safety.

As could be expected from a luxury boarding kennels, all dogs were individually exercised throughout the day, their health, welfare and happiness was always the top priority, and I ensured we had the highest standards in cleanliness and comfort for our guests.

Owners were kept up to date at all times and I had many repeat customers and recommendations from across the country.

All kennels had their own garden areas, and a typical day started with all dogs being provided access to those. Then breakfasts were prepared and all dogs were fed prior to opening for drop offs and collections. During the day all dogs were exercised in our secure paddock at least 4 times. Kennels were cleaned regularly throughout the day and bedding changed where necessary. Medications were administered as and when needed and we catered for all special diets and individual needs. There was a second drop off and collection period in the afternoon, followed by dinner and final exercise before closing kennels in the evening. Final checks and access to their gardens was provided again in the late evening.
